1. When in Amsterdam: Drop by flea markets and second hand stores

When you ask around about flea markets, people would usually direct you to Waterlooplein. It’s the biggest market and you can find everything from local delicacies to cheesy souvenirs. It’s fun but it’s tourist routine. I’ll be honest, my mom and I got lost since we took the wrong tram but I’m so glad that we did since we ended up in the Spui flea market, which is a street market where they sell artwork, books, and records at really affordable prices.

Another fortunate accident happened during my last day - mom already left for Italy so I just wanted to explore everything in between. I wanted to see the small quaint shops tourists don’t usually discover. I was on my way to Berenstraat when it started raining and of course all the cafés were full so I went inside a random shop… only to realize it was EPISODE! I was squealing inside because I remember how much I wanted to see the store ever since Monki featured them when they interviewed Andy Torres in Amsterdam. Guess I got my wish! This oversized denim jacket followed me home:

So don’t be afraid to explore! I know that we all go loco when Mango or Zara go on sale but flea markets and second hand shops always have unique items. Oh and I just wanted to share that Episode has an online shop so go and take a look!
